Kari Vodka is named for Rwanda’s tallest peak, Karisimbi.
Only 3% of the world’s vodkas are made from potatoes. Connoisseurs love it for its creamier, earthier profile, more expressive of its terroir. Ours are grown right here in Musanze, nicknamed Potato City, in mineral-rich volcanic soil. We use what we call unloved potatoes — the small, misshapen potatoes, 20% of every harvest, that farmers can’t sell. Until now. By choosing these overlooked potatoes, we’ve created an entirely new revenue stream for local farming cooperatives.
