Only about 3% of the world's vodkas are made from potatoes — prized for their creamy, earthy character that carries the terroir of the soil. Ours are grown in the volcanic earth of Musanze, Rwanda's "Potato City." We buy the small, misshapen "unloved" potatoes — roughly 20% of the harvest that farmers can't sell — creating new income for local cooperatives.
