Equipment and Facility Maintenance Support

One-year consulting contract (to start), reporting to the Assistant Distiller / Quality Assurance Associate, based at our distillery in Musanze.

We are seeking a qualified individual with a strong maintenance background to service and maintain our distillation equipment (including boiler and chiller) and the overall facility,
and to assist with production on a limited basis. The ideal candidate is proactive, consistent, detail-oriented, and comfortable with daily physical work.

Key responsibilities:
• Maintain all company equipment and lead overall facility maintenance
• Build and run preventive-maintenance schedules; perform daily, weekly, monthly and annual checks
• Keep distillation equipment optimal — boiler, steam traps, valves, chiller, pumps and mechanical machinery
• Support calibration of temperature, pressure, flow and level instruments
• Troubleshoot non-distilling equipment (vehicles, CCTV, network, generator, pipes)
• Coordinate and supervise external technicians/contractors for specialist repairs
• Maintain a spare-parts inventory and keep maintenance documentation
• Assist the Assistant Distiller with production, bottling, labelling and packaging as requested

Required qualifications:
• Experience in facility/equipment maintenance, ideally in food, beverage, brewery, winery, distillery or dairy processing
• A0/A1 in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance strongly preferred
• Excellent spoken and written English, and leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting; basic math and computer skills
• Strong work record (performance, safety, attendance); willing to work some holidays/weekends
